Jewelry Appraisals
We take special care with jewelry items. All pieces are evaluated by a GIA graduate
appraiser.
By using the latest
gemological tools and trade information to grade and value each piece, our appraisals
provide an accurate and objective assessment of the current market value.
The appraisal process
normally takes two to three days, depending on the number of pieces.
Our
procedure includes: initial inspection of each piece; cleaning (if appropriate);
photography; counting, measuring, and grading of stones; calculation of stone
weight; and overall integrity test. Repair and maintenance suggestions are
offered with each piece.
Each Appraisal Includes:
- Photographs, detailed description, value
- All applicable stone information
Values are assessed from the appraiser’s industry knowledge, research of
the most current trade references, and, when appropriate, consulting independent
specialists. Values can represent retail replacement or fair market values, as
needed.
